Bangladesh Executes Jamaat Leader

Motiur Rehman Nizami, 72 year old, Bangladeshi Jamaat e Islamic leader hanged at Dhaka prison on Wednesday morning for war crimes in 1971 war. This hanging happened just days after the highest court dismissed his final appeal.

Motiur Rehman was fifth Bangladeshi leader and fourth Jamaat e Islami leader hanged since December, 2013. The trails have been remained under huge criticism from all around the world and the cases were initiated by Prime Minister Hasina Sheikh.

Jamaat e Islami leadership claimed that charges against their party were false and initiated to eliminate all party leadership.

Siraj ul Haq, Amir Jamaat e Islami Pakistan highly criticized the government of Sheikh Hasina for the execution.
