Afghan Taliban Chief Killed in US Drone Strike

Afghan Taliban Chief Mullah Mansoor Akhtar killed in a US drone attack in Baluchistan, Pakistan on Saturday morning while travelling to Quetta.

Afghanistan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah confirmed this news on Sunday on his twitter account by referring that Afghan Taliban Chief was killed when a US drone attacked his car in Dahl Bandin a district in Baluchistan.

US Secretary of State Jhon Kerry earlier informed Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by telephone call of a drone strike leaving Afghan Taliban Chief dead. Jhon Kerry further stated in media that we gave a clear message to world that we stand with the Afghan government.

Foreign Office Spokesman confirmed that Pakistani leadership has been informed about the drone strike in Baluchistan. According to the statement issued by the Foreign Office Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif were informed about drone strike that may kill Mullah Mansoor Akhtar.
