The Westbury White horse is a hill figure on the escarpment of Salisbury Plain. The horse is 180 feet tall and 170 feet wide and is a symbol for the town of Westbury, appearing as a welcome sign for the tourists entering into the area.
The White horse was first displayed in the start of 19th Century and marked the victory of King Alfred’s at the battle of Eoandun.
