The of Point of Ayre Lighthouse, Isle of Man was designed and build by Robusert Stevenson and was first lit in 1818 and remained active in the 19th century. Isle of Man was believed to be the oldest operational light house on the island.
It is 32 meters high above the sea level, its light can be viewed from the range of 35 kilometers and now for better understanding its right to say that light can be seen clearly seen from across the water from South West Scotland.
The lighthouse is maintained by Northern Lighthouse Board and is one of the places being attracted by the tourists from all over the world.
