ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, Pakistan Army’s Director General of Inter Services Public Relations took the local and foreign media to front lines of Line of Control, day after the Indian’s claimed surgical strike at seven sectors inside Pakistan’s territory. The propose of the visit was to show the media that there were no signs of any surgical strikes and as Indians claim that they entered 3 to 5 kilo meters inside Pakistan’s territory and killed 30 plus militant is totally baseless and impossible. Any movement towards the Line of Control is monitored and if anyone tries to step across will be dealt with severe action, said Asim Bajwa DG ISPR.
He further clarified that Pakistan has never restricted any UN mission or media to reach and monitor Line of Control. There are seven posts of UN observers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir while four are on the other side of Line of Control where Indian media and UN missions are never allowed to monitor the actual situation over Line of Control.
DG ISPR also said that it is quite possible that Indians side face casualties in greater number with the Pakistan Army’s respond to Indian infiltration, but they are hiding it. They have even laying over surgical strike which is not possible at all.
On the other side United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan reported that UN did not directly observed any firing across the Line of Control related to recent incident, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said. UNMOGIP is obviously aware of the reports of these presumed violations, and they’re talking to the concerned authorities.
