Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today chaired two important meetings with civilian and military officials on the current security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and India’s aggression on Line of Control (LOC).
In National Security meeting internal and external security situation of the country remained under discussion, and it was outlined that Pakistan does not cherish aggressive design against any country. It was further noted that Pakistan’s efforts for peace must not be regarded as sign of weakness and armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable of give befitting response for any aggression.
The National Security meeting was attended by all provincial chief ministers, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Armed Services Chiefs, National Security Advisor Nasir Khan Janjua, DG ISI and some other senior officials as well.
Today early morning Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also chaired special meeting to review the implementation of National Action Plan wherein along with all provincial chief ministers Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister was also invited. National Security Advisor Nasir Khan Janjua briefed all the participants of the meeting on the ongoing implementation process.
The participants agreed that there is a need of seamless coordination between Federal and Provincial Governments as well as all LEAs for achieving desired results. It was also agreed to further improve the collection, collation, analysis and use of intelligence input for defeating the designs of enemies.
