ABUDHABI: Pakistan successfully whitewashed West Indies by winning the third One Day International by 136 runs. Babar Azam managed to secure his consecutive third century, he became the third Pakistani player and eighth overall to score three consecutive ODI centuries as he top-scored with a 106-ball 117 runs in Pakistan’s 308 for 6. Babar Azam was also declared ‘Man of the Match’ and ‘Man of the Series’ due to his wonderful innings throughout the series.
Captain Azhar Ali, who scored a century become the only Pakistan player to score three hundreds as ODI captain. Fast bowler Wahab Riaz managed to get his 100th wicket by taking two wickets giving 28 runs in 8 overs. Muhammad Nawaz got 3 for 40 in his 9 overs, restricting West Indies on 172 all out in 44 overs.
With winning the series, Pakistan has secured 8th position in ODI ranking.
