Azhar Ali has marched to 302 Not Out, his first Test Triple Century, to anchor Pakistan’s mammoth First Innings total of 579-3 (Declared). In the First D/N Test Match against West Indies in Dubai, Azhar Ali was well supported, first by Asad Shafiq and then by debutant Babar Azam, before Misbah-ul-Haq played an attacking cameo to give his side quick runs leading into their declaration.
Azhar Ali became 4th Pakistani Player to achieve the milestone of a Triple Century. The previous ones were Hanif Muhammad who scored 337 runs vs. West Indies in Bridgetown in Jan 1958, Inzamam-ul-Haq, who played a gigantic innings of 329 against New Zealand in Lahore in May 2002 and then it was Younus Khan who smashed 313 runs against Sri Lanka in Karachi in Feb 2009.
