Pakistan wins a thriller 400th Test

Despite a fighting century by Darren Bravo in second innings, Pakistan finally managed to grab the victory with 56 runs in an exciting Day Night Test Match to win their memorable 400th Test Match. That Test Match was second ever Day-Night Test being played with a Pink Ball after Australia and New Zealand contested in the first ever at Adelaide in November last year.

Pakistan had never thought to strive and struggle that much after getting an important wicket of Marlon Samuels on the very first ball of the day when Muhammad Amir struck him with Sarfraz catching the edged ball behind the stumps. But then Bravo made Pakistanis frustrated and kept on going with the momentum instead of falling-wickets on regular intervals. Bravo was constantly resisting Pakistan to move towards victory through his brilliant knock but then it was Yasir Shah who came and took a stunning two handed flying catch to end the hopes of West Indies.

West Indian Skipper Jason Holder made Pakistan to wait a little longer for the historic victory and tried to be there on crease till the end of the match. But Left-Arm Spinner Mohammad Nawaz trapped Devendra Bishoo while Miguel Cummins and last man Shannon Gabriel got run out to spark a celebration amongst Pakistan players. West Indies finally bowled out for 289 with just 12 overs to spare in the match.

It was an extremely exciting and brilliant contest between the two sides, as Azhar Ali first scored Triple Century (302*), then it was West Indian Leg Spinner Bishoo who took his career best 8-49 and made a passage for West Indies to make a comeback in the match, then Yasir Shah through his excellent spells and fighting knocks by Bravo were the key moments of the match that made it an unforgettable one. Azhar Ali finally got the Man of the Match Award for his 302 on board. The 2nd Test Match between Pakistan & West Indies will be played on Friday 21st Oct in Abu Dhabi.
