Cube houses built in Rotterdam, Netherlands are a set of innovative ideas designed by architect Piet Blom. The basic theme behind these houses is “living as an urban roof”.

First time in 1974 three test versions of cube houses were built, and later on in 1978, 18 additional houses were constructed on the same design. These houses in Rotterdam are located on Overblaak Street, above the subway station.

Cube houses contain three floors, first floor, ground floor and second floor.
