Atleast 52 persons have lost their lives and more than 110 got injured in a huge blast in Shah Noorani Shrine near Hub in Lasbela District of Baluchistan. A large number of children and women were present in the shrine when the bomb went off. Ambulances and rescue teams rushed to the hospital immediately. The nearest hospital is at the distance of hours, a reason why that the bodies and injured ones are yet to be shifted to hospital.
Baluchistan Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti told the media that the explosion occurred when 500 to 600 people were inside the shrine and devotees were engaged in “dhamaal”. He said that it takes about three hours from Hub to reach the Shah Noorani Shrine which is located in difficult mountainous remote area where even mobile phone services are not operational. Helicopter Ambulance cannot be used too due to darkness, Bugti added. In the meanwhile, more than 10 ambulances of Edhi Foundation reached the site for rescue operation.
Director General ISPR Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has ordered maximum assistance for evacuation and in-time medical treatment of the injured ones. He also told that Sindh Rangers are reaching the blast site along with 100 soldiers, 4 medical teams and 45 ambulances.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan condemned the incident. PM directed the respective authorities to speed up the rescue operations whereas Ch. Nisar demanded inquiry report from Inspector General Frontier Constabulary. No group has yet accepted the responsibility of the Shah Noorani Shrine Blast.
