Today, a larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali resumed the hearing of Panama Leaks case. During the proceedings, Justice Azmat Saeed gave the remarks that the documents being submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have no connections with the case.
Justice Azmat Saeed said that the documents include newspaper clippings and the petitioner himself has buried the truth. One side has submitted 700 pages while the other one has submitted a document of 1600 pages. Judges are not computer machines who can scan and read the documents in no time, Justice Azmat remarked.
Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali also expressed his displeasure over the documents submitted by PTI that consisted of 686 pages. He said that he wanted to keep focus on London Flats and wanted to give the verdict in a couple of days.
He said that they have received a lot of documents and it is pretty much difficult as well to differentiate between real and fake documents. In this situation, they might not be able to give verdict even in six months, CJ added. The apex court maintained that it will not investigate corruption stating that if someone has done corruption then the lower courts can take care of it. The hearing has been adjourned till 17th Nov.
Advocate Akram Sheikh representing the Prime Minister’s children said that no money went out from Pakistan and PM Nawaz Sharif went to Dubai and formed a steel mill without any investment from Pakistan. Imran Khan should look for Burnol to heal his burning wounds, Khawaja Asif suggested Imran Khan.
