Proteas win Second Test against Aussies, grab 3-Match Series

South Africa has won yet another test match after beating Australia in second test as well by an innings and 80 runs, being played at Hobart. The hosts couldn’t bear the strong Proteas pace attack and once again collapsed on 161 in second innings.
Kyle Abbot and Kagiso Rabada didn’t allow Aussie batsmen to stay on crease for long and took 6 and 4 wickets respectively. The Proteas bowled out the home side for 161 on the fourth day with 8 Australian wickets falling even before lunch. Earlier in first Innings, Australia got bowled out on 85.
This victory in second test match is followed by 177-runs victory against Steve Smith’s side in the first test at Perth, ultimately claiming the 3-match series with 2-0 with one test match to spare.
South African skipper Faf Du Plessis in post match press conference said that they didn’t expect it to happen that quickly that they would get 8 wickets in just one session. This victory is very special to all of them that gave them a series win which will always be remembered, Proteas skipper added.
The destruction in second innings as well has put more pressure on Australian Skipper Steven Smith and Coach Darren Lehmann. Team management will now be going with significant changes for the final day-night test match in Adelaide next week.
Defeat in second test at Hobart was Australia’s fifth consecutive test defeat this year, having also lost all three test matches in Sri Lanka earlier in August.
