Nadal cruises into Final-4, Federer to play Wawrinka in AO Semi Final

Rafael Nadal continues to build up his confidence as well as form and fitness. The ninth seed, 14 Times Grand Slam and 2009 Australian Open Champion reached his fifth Australian Open semi-final and his first Grand Slam Semi Final since 2014 Roland Garros after beating Canadian World No. 3 Milos Raonic in Straight Sets.

Score of Nadal’s beat the Canadian by 6-4, 7-6(7), 6-4 in 2 Hours and 44 Minutes which was his 50th match win at the Grand Slam Championship that also helped him into the 24th Major Semi Final of his career. After the match, Nadal said that it’s a good news for him that he finally playing a Semi Final of a Grand Slam after almost more than 2.5 years.

He further that he is being competitive and playing well and is excited about being back in the final rounds of the most important major event. He will try his best to continue with his current momentum, Nadal added. The 30 Year old Spaniard will next face 15th Seed of the tournament Grigor Dimitrov who reached into the Semis by beating David Goffin in Straight Sets in Quarter Finals.

In the other Semi Final, Four times former Australian Open Champion Roger Federer will meet his fellow countryman and 2014 AO Titlist Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka. Former World # 1 and current 17th Seed Roger Federer, ended the dream run of Andy Murray’s conqueror, Mischa Zverev, 6-1, 7-5, 6-2 in Quarter Finals for a place in his 41st Grand Slam Championship Semi Final and his 13th at the Australian Open.

The tennis fans are much more excited for the possible FEDAL Clash in the Grand Finale. Both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have collectively won 31 Grand Slam Titles and their rivalry is considered as one of the best rivalries of Tennis Era.

Both of them not being at their peak for last couple of years, have not met each other on court for a long time. Reaching this close to play each other, that too in a Grand Slam Final, is making the nights of tennis fans sleepless and they are wishing to have a FEDAL Finale at Melbourne.
