IS claims the responsibility of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Shrine Blast

As per AFP reports, Islamic State (IS) has accepted the responsibility of yesterday’s Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Shrine Blast, in Sehwan Sharif, a city that is located in Sindh’s Jamshoro District. In the attack, 75 people lost their lives and 130 got injured when a suicide bomber exploded himself when the ritual ceremony of “Dhamaal” was in process.

New Wave of Terrorism hits Pakistan as 5th suicide-blast incident occurs in 4 days consecutively. The blast occurred within the premises of the shrine after which the injured persons were being shifted to the hospitals in Dadu and Jamshoro as Sehwan’s Hospital has no proper medical facilities.

30 Edhi Ambulances were also sent to the site immediately after the blast in which injured ones were shifted to hospitals. SSP Sehwan had also confirmed that the blast was a suicide attack and the suicide bomber entered the shrine from its golden gate.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had also directed immediate assistance to Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Blast victims. In a statement by DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, Night Flying Helicopters and Pakistan Air Force’s C130 were sent to Sehwan Sharif for the evacuation of injured people, where PAF’s C130 lifted the injured persons from Nawab Shah’s Airport. Army and Rangers had also moved to the blast site along with the medical support.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa also said that each drop of the nation’s blood will be revenged and revenged as soon as possible and immediately. Army Chief was quoted in a tweet by Major General Asif Ghafoor, saying that there won’t be any restraint for anyone.
