Imran Khan terms Overseas PSL Final Players as “Phateechar”

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has termed the Overseas Players as “Phateechar” who came to Lahore, Pakistan for playing PSL Final. Overseas Players who agreed to come to Pakistan and played their role in atleast trying to revive International Cricket back in Pakistan have been roughly called as Low and Useless by none other than one of the greatest sporting personalities and 1992 World Cup Winning Captain Imran Khan.

Addressing a Pressing Conference, Chairman PTI Imran Khan has said that he does not even know the names of the players who came to Pakistan. Moreover, Khan also said that the players who were invited by PSL Management came from Africa and were labeled as Foreign Players. PTI Chief Imran Khan is being criticized by Pakistanis all over the world for such comments that included racism as well.

It is to be noted that several Foreign Players including Darren Sammy, David Malan, Marlon Samuels, Elton Chigumbura, Chris Jordan, Morne Van Wyk, Anamul Haque, Sean Ervine, Rayad Emrit took part in the final of Pakistan Super League on Sunday at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium despite having the Security Concerns in the country. Above all, cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards was also there in Lahore, who arrived as mentor of Quetta Gladiators.

PSL Final was held under tight security that drew Pakistan together in a rare show of unity. Even leaders from Opposition Parties like Jamat-e-Islami Chief Siraj-ul-Haq and Awami Muslim League Chief Sheik Rasheed Ahmad attended the final. However, Imran Khan termed the decision of holding PSL Final as “Madness” and opposed the event citing security concerns.
