As per ISPR statement, Pakistan has sentenced an Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav to Death for carrying out espionage and sabotage activities in Baluchistan and Karachi. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has confirmed the Death Sentence awarded by the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA).
According to an ISPR Press Release, Kulbhushan Sundir Jadhav alias Hussein Mubarak Patel was arrested on 03rd March, 2016, after a Counter-Intelligence Operation from Baluchistan’s Mashkel area for his involvement in espionage and sabotage actives within Pakistan. Kulbhushan Jadhav who is a serving Indian Navy officer confessed to his crimes in a recorded video statement released by ISPR after his arrest.
The trial of Indian Spy has been carried out through Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under Pakistan Army Act (PAA) after which Jadhav is awarded Death Sentence that has been approved by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. RAW Agent Kulbhushan Sundir Jadhav was tired under FGCM under the Section-59 of Pakistan Army Act (PAA) 1952 and Section-3 of official Secret Act of 1923.
The Field General Court Marshal found Kulbhushan Jadhav guilty of all charges. He also confessed before the Magistrate and the Court, that he was tasked by RAW to plan, coordinate, organize and execute the espionage / sabotage activities concerning to destabilize and wage war against Pakistan by impeding the efforts of Law Enforcement Agencies for restoring peace in Baluchistan and Karachi, said the ISPR Press Release.
The ISPR also said that the accused was also provided with a Defending Officer as per legal provisions and proceedings. Kulbhushan Jadhav’s execution date is yet to be announced.
Death Sentence announced by Military Court is a Warning for Pakistan’s Enemies: Khawaja Asif
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Capital Punishment announced by the Military Court is a warning for the Enemies of Pakistan and the punishment is perfectly in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. The Indian Government is directly involved in sponsoring Sate Terrorism against Pakistan, a reason why they do not have cordial and ideal relations with India, Asif said.
In a statement given following the Death Sentence announced by Field General Court Martial (FGCM) to Indian Spy Kulbhushan Jadhav under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA), Khawaja Asif said that no leniency will be given to those who are involved in terrorist-activities in Pakistan.
