Aung San Suu Kyi’s Painting has been removed from display by Oxford College

Aung San Suu Ki studied as an undergraduate from Oxford college and the college has removed her portrait from public display amid humanitarian crisis in Myanmar in her alleged role.

Oxford University awarded honorary doctorate to Aung Suu Kyi in 2012, and her last birthday was celebrated in the college.

This move came, when Aung San Suu kyi was showered with sheer criticism from international community in her role in the recent erupted crises and the treatment of Rohingya minority, a group that suffered ethnic cleansing and severe attacks by Myanmar’s security forces.

Other Notable alumni of the college includes Theresa May, incumbent Prime Minister of UK.
