Antalya is one of the fastest growing tourist attraction point in Turkey and represents the mix up of Turkish culture, traditional architecture, beaches and most of it now includes beach parks (a water slide – fanatic’s dream).
The history of ancient architecture goes back to 800 BCE, and most of the structural designs present in Antalya and its surrounding areas go back to its golden age in the second and third centuries AD. The above theatre was built by Emperor Aurelius, AD 61-80.
Antalya theatres are still in use, whereas such kind of theatres being used in Rome are only used to attract tourists. The Antalya theatre is one of the fine piece of Turkish architecture which is still in use and seats more than 15,000 people.
