Batting Chaos

By Saif Ur Rehman.

It’s not new to watch Pakistan batting line up crumble on away pitches, tour to the kiwi land was no different either. Pakistan has started 2018 with mark of white wash in an odi series. Green caps, which are better known as unpredictable were completely outclassed by the host in all five matches played. In one of the one day international batting line was not able to conquer the modest total of 258. Many of the batsmen did not bother the scorer including Azhar Ali and Hafeez.

Pakistan’s champion trophy bubble has burst, men in green are back to old days and according to skipper it was “tough conditions” which resulted in humiliating defeat. These absurd excuses are not going to solace this cricket crazy nation, playing at the highest level want hundred percent commitment and effort but watching our players play especially our top and middle order going back to the pavilion within first ten over is such a shame. It has been years that we won a odi series in New Zealand and only positive mindset is going to finish the task for men in green.

“our national side has to learn to cope up with away conditions as quickly as possible”

A lot of challenges await ahead including tour to English shores in mid summers and then all important Asia cup which would be hosted by arch rival India. With such an abysmal performance with the bat we will not meet the international standard.

Our national side has to learn to cope up with away conditions as quickly as possible. It’s now a general knowledge that our batting line is on its keens on bouncy tracks. To change the traditions our management and the coaching staff have to work there skin out in order to make this batting line very much predictable in a positive way.  let us hope that this t20 series bring some positive outcomes and can bring tranquility to cricket loving people of Pakistan.
