Mohammad Abbas is on the brink of becoming the fastest Pakistani pace bowler to reach 50 wickets in test cricket. Abbas needs 1 more wicket to reach the milestone.

Earlier, Abbas had rattled the Australian top order with his accurate, swing bowling, taking all 3 wickets as Australia slumped to 136-3 from 87-0. Abbas took 3 wickets in the space of 7 balls, dismissing opener Finch for 49 and the Marsh brothers for ducks.

Australia still require 326 runs to win but are struggling to find runs. Usman Khawaja is 50* from 120 deliveries but has struggled against the spinners.

Elsewhere, ace legspinner Yasir Shah has yet to take a wicket in the match but will be hoping to exploit the fifth day pitch for some turn. Pakistan has utilized 4 spinners in the match with Haris Sohail and Hafeez providing support to Bilal Asif and Yasir Shah.

Earlier, Pakistan had declared 8 overs after lunch setting Australia a target of 462.
