The Huawei P20 is the company’s high-end product competing with rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Huawei now looks set to unveil its next flagship smartphone range at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona next month. The P30 and P30 pro will be the successors to the Huawei P20 and P20 pro.
Huawei is adding the P30 Pro to its arsenal to bring down the empire of Samsung, the king of the smartphone industry. For a very long, the Samsung Galaxy series has dominated the smartphone industry, and now the time may have come when HuaweiP30 could snatch the crown from Samsung.
The new Huawei P30 is bringing a new look to the phone according to leaked renders. The design is almost bezel-less with only a tiny notch for the front camera. This makes the Huawei P30 design unique, and a new industry standard which others likely to follow. The Samsung S10 is similarly rumoured to have a bezel-less design.
The P30 series is rumored to use Sony’s new six-series 38 MP IMX 607 sensor that comes with a sensor of size 1/1.8″.
The regular P30 will come with a triple camera setup whereas the P30 Pro might use a quad camera setup this time, with a focus on optical zoom. Last year’s P20 Pro was able to achieve 3x optical zoom and this year the P30 Pro is rumored to have at least 5x optical zoom. This would allow you to easily zoom into subjects without having to lose any detail.
According to reports, both devices will sport OLED displays. Last year, Huawei reserved the OLED panels for the Pro variation of the smartphone.
The P30 is releasing with OS android 9.0 (pie), with 4500 mah non-removeable battery. P30 will come with 8 GB of RAM and the P30 Pro will come with 12 GB of RAM.
Last year P20 and P20 pro were launched on the prices of $756 and $1020. So don’t expect this year’s flagship Huawei phones to be any cheaper, and they might even be a touch more expensive.
